ABOUT USTana

Growing up in Deep Cove and being raised by a family who loved gardening, Tana got her first taste of it at an early age. Once she reached adulthood she continued her love for it while raising a family into her thirties when she became independent and moved into the workforce. But earning a living gardening was not to be. Tana found herself a finisher of interiors for yachts and ships of every description built by Queenship. There she met her soon to be new partner in life, Brian. They settled down in a new home and she tried her hand at various other employment opportunities, but soon returned to her first love - gardening. Thus was formed the company called Coastal Gardens.

Tana

Brian comes from a family of wood workers who settled on Vancouver Island and it is some of his fine work that you will see in stately yachts. All the woodworking is built and assembled in a shop, then torn down, marked and identified and reconstructed on board the yacht. Although he still is fully employed in the yacht interior trade, his cabinet making and wood finishing are signature pieces for Coastal Garden designed accents such as converted sheds, gazebos, and other features that the gardening company supplies.

"Every now and then, along comes an exceptional person, who has a sixth sense, they are artists. Watching Tana work, she is one of these people, as she will stop what she is doing, become oblivious to everyone around her as she communicates with the plants, rocks and earth transforming them into her canvas."
